Álamos is a premium extra virgin olive oil produced at the Cartuxa Lagar (Olive Mill) on the Álamo da Horta estate. It shows the distinctive features of Galega and Cobrançosa olive varieties, which are blended with Arbequina olives. The characteristics of aroma and flavour, together with a fine balance of its features, make it exceptionally well suited to enrich all types of Mediterranean cuisine.
It is packed with freshness, with a medium flavour of intense fruit, a mix of green and ripe olives, with notes of apple, green tomatoes, nuts and a hint of green. Particularly suited to season fresh fish, salt-cod, shellfish, grilled or roast meat, and for frying, in sauces and mayonnaise.
