The village of Santar is a historical landmark in the Dão region. In order to preserve the historical roots of the wine, Dão Sul purchased Paço dos Cunhas do Santar, a XVII Century estate. Paço dos Cunhas de Santar is composed by two manor houses with 100 year-difference.
Rehabilitation was done to Paço dos Cunhas de Santar making it a Charming destination, with a restaurant, shop and multi-functional space, where clients can enjoy a meal in historical environment.
The white and red wine Vinha do Contador are made from these grape varieties, two top references of the Dão region. Paço dos Cunhas de Santar was awarded Winetorusim of the Year 2008 by Revista de Vinhos, in Portugal.
